Jackson, MS – Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-20 at Ellis Ave

Jackson, MS (February 25, 2023) – Police in Jackson are investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian crash that happened on Tuesday, February 21. According to reports, the wreck occurred on I-20 for reasons still being investigated. 

Police were sent to the scene, located on I-20 near Ellis Avenue, along with an ambulance and the Jackson Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit. A witness stated they saw a man attempting to cross the interstate at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The witness stated he saw the man get hit by a gray vehicle. 

The man landed in a ditch, and the driver stopped to check his car before driving away. Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident. The victim has not been identified at this time.
