Gulfport, MS – Injuries Reported in Major Auto Collision on I-10 near Hwy 49

Gulfport, MS (January 21, 2023) – A car accident happened early Wednesday morning, January 18, in Gulfport. Reports from the Mississippi Department of Transportation indicate the crash occurred on Interstate 10. 

According to information from local officials, the incident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-10 before the Canal Road exit and just past the exit for Highway 49. Westbound traffic was delayed in the area for approximately one hour. 

Multiple responders were seen working at the crash scene. Paramedics rendered aid to those involved while police investigated the details of the collision. Currently, the extent of any injuries suffered has not been reported.
