Mississippi Traffic Accidents
Mississippi sees hundreds of thousands of traffic accidents per year. On average, the Magnolia State sees more than 150,000 traffic collisions per year. These accidents cause injuries to over 60,000 people and take the lives of more than 1,000 annually.
If you were injured as a passenger in a vehicle driven by a negligent driver, you have legal rights. Unfortunately, the majority of people are not ware of these rights and may never file a claim to obtain the financial compensation needed to cover the costs related to medical care, lost wages, and more. In the same respect, it is important for the surviving family members of passengers killed in negligently caused accidents to understand their legal rights toward financial compensation for funeral costs and other damages.
All Mississippi drivers assume an essential duty of care while operating their vehicles, which is a legal responsibility that they agree to obey traffic regulations and do everything a reasonable individual would do to prevent injuries and/or fatalities for their passengers and everyone else they encounter on the road. If a driver does not fulfill this legal duty and someone sustains injuries or loses their life, this is defined as negligence and would make the driver responsible for the resulting losses and damages.
If you or someone you love has been hurt as a passenger in a car crash, you deserve to be fully compensated for the medical costs, wage loss, and other damages you may have incurred as a result of your accident. At Mama Justice, we are fully dedicated to preserving the legal rights of injured passengers and their family members who did nothing to cause the collisions they were involved in.
