Tupelo, MS – 7-Year-Old Boy Loses Life in House Fire on CR 5301

Tupelo, MS (March 13, 2023) – A young boy lost his life in a house fire over the weekend in Tupelo, according to information gathered from local news sources. The incident happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 11. 

Emergency crews went to the scene on Prentiss county Road 5301 and found a home on fire just east of Baldwyn. The blaze claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy and injured his grandmother. She was airlifted to Memphis Hospital to be treated for serious burns. 

Numerous agencies responded to the scene of the incident, which is currently being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Prentiss County Fire Department.
