Starkville, MS (November 14, 2021) – At 12:13 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, November 14, a car accident with injuries occurred in Starkville.

According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of MS-12 and Russell Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.

EMTs, fire crews, and multiple other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured due to the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
