Jackson, MS – Crash with Injuries on I-55 near Savannah St

Jackson, MS (October 7, 2022) – The police and area first responders were called to the scene of a crash that took place in the Jackson area, which resulted in injuries. Just before 8 a.m., on October 6, officers were dispatched to the site of a crash on Interstate 55.

Preliminary reports indicate that a crash between vehicles blocked the northbound side of the interstate. The crash caused delays due to its blocking of two left lanes of travel near Savannah Street.

Paramedics provided treatment to victims who suffered injuries as a result of the crash. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further care.

The police department in Jackson is investigating the crash at this time.
