Vicksburg, MS (April 30, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a Vicksburg highway on Friday afternoon, April 29.
According to Vicksburg Police, the accident happened around 3:46 p.m. at 3200 Highway 61. Several vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
