Columbus, MS (August 1, 2022) – A two-car accident resulted in injuries and traffic delays in downtown Columbus on Friday, July 29. In the morning hours on Friday, responders were sent to the scene of the wreck on 4th Street.
Local sources report that an SUV and a commercial tree service truck collided on 4th Street near Main Street. Two people present in the SUV were taken to a hospital with injuries deemed non-critical in nature.
The Columbus Police Department is currently investigating the details of the accident. Paramedics, police, and other responders were seen at the crash site for some time after the wreck took place.
The roadway was blocked while responders worked in the area. No further information has been reported at this time.
