Oxford, MS (January 18, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, January 18, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of South Lamar Boulevard and University Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been formally identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as delays piled up.
