Auto Accidents in Laurel

Laurel, MS - Pedestrian Injured in Traffic Crash on MS-15, Emergency Dispatch IssuedAuto collisions happen all the time. In the United States, millions of wrecks are reported every year. Throughout the state of Mississippi, more than 125,000 vehicle accidents are reported every year. These collisions take place for a multitude of reasons. Presently, the most common cause of vehicle collisions in the United States is distracted driving. The use of smartphones is constantly rising, causing distracted driving to become a more prevalent issue.

The hazards related to taking your attention away from the road while driving are severe. Checking a text for just five seconds could cause a deadly wreck. Those you encounter on the roadway are put at risk for serious injuries or even death if you choose to act negligently while behind the wheel.

The possibility of putting another person’s life at risk should be a big enough deterrent to keep anyone from acting negligently while driving. However, people choose to drive while intoxicated, fatigued, and distracted all the time. In 2019, more than 400,000 people were hurt in traffic wrecks caused by negligent drivers, and more than 3,000 were killed.

Regardless of what kind of negligence led to your crash, if you’re under the impression that a negligent driver caused your accident, you should be able to collect compensation.
