Oxford, MS - Car Crash Ends in Injuries on MS-7 near Orchard ChurchCar crashes in Mississippi happen all too often. More than 125,000 car wrecks occur in the Magnolia State every year. Over 55,000 people are hurt in these accidents, and more than 1,000 lose their lives. Car wrecks are a serious issue throughout the United States. Over 6 million are reported per year here, with more than 3 million people who are hurt every year due to these collisions. What usually causes these accidents? On average, most of the vehicle collisions reported in the United States are caused by driver negligence. Things like drunk driving, fatigued driving, distracted driving, and generally not paying attention to the road/disobeying traffic laws are all prevalent forms of driver negligence.

For some reason, people think that they can take their eyes from the roadway for just a few seconds and be fine. However, taking your eyes off of the road for five seconds while traveling 55 miles per hour is like traveling the length of a football field with your eyes closed. Checking texts, social media, and other notifications on your smartphone can be a deadly decision to make if you’re driving. Not only are you putting yourself at risk, but you’re putting everyone in the vehicle with you and everyone whom you pass on the roadway at risk for serious injuries or even death.

Negligent drivers cause thousands of accidents and injuries every year. If you were the victim of a negligent driver, you deserve all the help you can get in order to make a full and fast recovery from your injuries and the damages that may have stemmed from them.

A personal injury lawyer in Oxford can help you recover financial compensation so you can pay for all of the costs associated with your wreck without breaking the bank. You should not have to go broke paying for injuries that someone else caused.
