Oxford, MS (March 26, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on Saturday morning, March 26, in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 10:35 a.m. on US-278 around the area of the Waller Funeral Home. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when they forcefully collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, all westbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
