Vicksburg, MS (May 18, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a two-vehicle crash that took place at an intersection in Vicksburg on Wednesday morning, May 18. 

According to Vicksburg Police, the accident happened around 9:58 a.m. at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and North Frontage Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with one another. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene. 

Several local responders, including Vicksburg paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. It is believed that one or more parties sustained injuries in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known. 

Due to the severity of the accident and blockages in the area, drivers were asked to avoid the scene for some time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
