Richton, MS (February 7, 2023) – At least one person was hurt in a car crash that occurred in Perry County on the morning of February 6. At approximately 9:36 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident on MS 15. 

According to information from preliminary reports, the accident took place on MS 15 between Earl Finley Road and Gator Wood Road. All lanes of the roadway were blocked in both directions for an extended period of time on Monday morning. 

Patients who were in need of medical treatment due to injuries they sustained in the crash were treated by paramedics and taken to local medical centers as necessary. At this time, their identities have not been provided. 

Law enforcement was on the scene, directing traffic away from the area while emergency crews worked to secure the location. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
